Seismographic or Vibration monitoring is used to determine vibration levels on surrounding structures.  Vibrations are measured in peak partical velocity (PPV).

Predetermined thresholds levels are monitored to ensure no damage occurs to adjacent properties during pile driving operations

This process involves a Geotechnical Engineer or Technician on site during pile driving operations.  This person monitors the amount of times the hammer hits each pile and records the bearing capacity or tonnage bearing of each and every pile in the project.

The report presented after each project is a Pile Certification.

Charlotte County and the City of Naples require this Certification as part of the pile driving, as well as Seismographic Monitoring and where applicable, Preconstruction surveys of adjacent structures or residences.
